CARMEL MASETI

With over 20 years experience in the Australian music scene, Carmel Mesiti is one of Australia’s most accomplished & respected singers. Carmel has worked alongside International and Local Artists such as, Delta Goodrem, David Campbell, Courtney Act, Doug Parkinson, Angry Anderson, Marcia Hines, Human Nature, Steve Balbi (Noiseworks), Natalie Imbruglia, Jack Jones (Southern Sons), Christine Anu, John Rowe, William Forsythe, Stephen “Spud” Murphy, John Bowles, Eric Weideman (1927), Tamsin Carroll, Michael Cormick, Ric Herbert and Mark Williams (Dragon). Her vocal quality & professionalism has also lead to sharing the stage with International Artists such as Chaz Bono & Jake Shears (Scissor Sisters).  

Carmel Mesiti has established a charismatic and dynamic stage presence in the Sydney live music scene. She has cultivated her craft of singing with a passion for music, her dedication to professionalism and a willingness to apply all her zeal and energy to whatever project or association she works with. 

Carmel is also one of Sydney’s most sought after Backing Vocalists, she is currently on a National Tour with Australia’s Voice of Soul, Doug Parkinson in his show ‘Doug Parkinson Honours Joe Cocker’. 

Her television appearances and movie soundtracks are similarly impressive, Australian Idol, Mornings with Kerry-Anne Kennerley, Midday with Ray Martin, In Sydney Today, John Mangos Show, Star Search and New Faces with Bert Newton, and “Thunderstruck the movie”. Carmel brought to these performances a certain glamour and star quality that was recognized and appreciated by audiences and peers alike.

Carmel has also established herself as one of Sydney’s most passionate and loyal vocal teachers, launching her own successful Singing School based in the Inner West of Sydney, “The Singing Room”.

She has lent her Vocal Teaching abilities to such institutions as Brent Street, The Australian Institute of Music, Sister2Sister School of Singing, The Australian Performing Arts College, and the Australian College of Entertainment. Past students have included, Delta Goodrem, Bianca Oecshle, Chloe Zuel (Hairspray, Australian Idol).
